1 ½ “ Strips of Poster Board or Cloth Ribbon or Strips of Cloth (for the base waistband)
Stapler

How to Make a Crepe Paper Dance Skirt
1. Make Waistband of Crepe Paper Skirt
If Using Poster Board – Measure poster board strip to fit waist. You may want to staple an 8” long piece of ribbon to both ends of the poster board waistband so it can be tied on and untied. Another option is to staple the waistband on after you have attached the streamers to the waistband.
If Using Cloth Ribbon or Strips of Cloth – Measure length to fit waist, then add on 16 inches to allow for ribbon or cloth to be tied around waist after crepe paper streamers have been attached.
2. Cut Streamers - Tear or cut 10 – 16 crepe paper streamers to 18 inches long or desired length of skirt. (Number of streamers needed is determined by waist size.)
3. Staple Streamers - Staple one end of crepe paper streamers to the underside of the poster board, cloth ribbon or strips of cloth.
4. Tie or Staple Skirt Around Waist - Tie skirts onto preschoolers.
5. Turn on dance music.
